Question: What does a Windows Error Code 45 mean? How can I fix this?
A Windows Error code 45 will display or populate a error message that looks similar to the following:
Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)What does it mean?
The device is not present or was previously attached to the computer. If Device Manager is started with the environment variable DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES set to 1 (which means show these devices), any previously attached (NONPRESENT) devices are displayed in the device list and assigned this error code.
What is the solution for this then?
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.
No other resolution is necessary.
