Question: What does this Windows Error Code 48 mean?
A Windows Error Code 48 will populate or display a error message that looks similar to the following:
The software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)
Possible Solution
Obtain and install a new or updated driver from the hardware vendor.
On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard.
